Terms and Conditions for Class and Workshop Bookings
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made for yoga classes, private sessions (121s), and workshops offered by Gait Collins, operating as Yoga with Gait. By booking any class or service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Health, Safety, and Medical Disclaimer
Health & Liability
All yoga practices are undertaken at your own risk. It is your responsibility to consult with a medical professional before starting any new fitness regime.
You must inform the teacher, Gait Collins, of any injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or changes in your health status (including pregnancy) before the start of any class or session.
If you experience any pain or discomfort during class, you must stop immediately and inform the teacher.
The use of hands-on assists and grounding touch is a key part of the teaching approach at Yoga with Gait. You have the right to decline any hands-on adjustments at any time.
2. Payments, Pricing, and Booking
Payment: All classes, 121 sessions, and workshops must be paid for in advance via the booking system on the Yoga with Gait website.
Pricing: All prices are as listed on the Yoga with Gait website and are subject to change.
Trial Offer: The £5 new starter offer applies only to a client's first trial of a regular weekly class.
Class Passes/Packages: Class passes must be used within the specified time frame (if applicable) and are non-refundable.
Gift Purchases: Class passes or workshop vouchers purchased as gifts (e.g., for Christmas or Valentine's Day promotions) are valid for the specified dates and are non-refundable.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
This policy is designed to maintain the sustainability of the small group sizes, particularly the intimate home studio class.
A. Weekly Group Classes (Flow, Yin, Cyclists, Wednesday Home Class)
Student Cancellation: If you cancel a regular weekly class booking that you booked on a drop-in basis:
More than 2 hours notice: You can choose to transfer your booking to an alternative yoga class, provided there is space available in that alternative class. Alternatively, payment can be credited back to your account for use against a future class booking.
Less than 2 hours notice: The credit option will be forfeited. A alternative class could be offered at the discretion of Yoga with Gait.
Teacher Cancellation (Essential Update): If Yoga with Gait cancels a class (e.g. due to illness), your payment will be fully credited back to your account or refunded. You will be notified via the Essential/Operational Updates email list.
B. Workshops (Partner/Couples Yoga)
Workshop Bookings are non-refundable due to the limited capacity and advance planning required.
Student Cancellation:
More than 7 days notice: A full credit may be applied to a future workshop or class package, at the discretion of Yoga with Gait.
Less than 7 days notice: The fee is forfeited. You may transfer your spot to another person, but you must notify Yoga with Gait in advance.
Teacher Cancellation: Your payment will be fully refunded.
C. Private Sessions (121s) Policy
Payment: All 121 sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure the dedicated time slot.
Student Cancellation: Due to the private nature and dedicated time required for 121 sessions:
More than 2 hours notice: The session fee will be credited to your account for rescheduling.
Less than 2 hours notice: The session fee will be forfeited, as it is difficult to fill the dedicated time slot at short notice.
Punctuality: If the client is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full fee remains payable.
Teacher Cancellation: If Yoga with Gait cancels a 121 session, the client will be fully refunded or the fee will be credited for rescheduling, according to the client's preference.
D. Class Substitutions and Block Booking Flexibility
1. Cover Teachers and Substitutions
Advance Notice: Yoga with Gait will endeavor to provide students with advance notice of any planned substitution (cover teacher).
Emergency Cover: In the event of an unavoidable, last-minute emergency (e.g., illness), a substitute teacher may be brought in without advance notice.
Credit Option: If a student prefers not to attend a substituted class, they may notify Yoga with Gait before the class start time to receive a full class credit. This credit can be applied toward a future class booking.
2. Block Booking Benefits and Rollover Policy
Missed Classes (Make-Up): Students who purchase a block booking may make up a missed class by attending an alternative regular weekly class, provided there is space available in that alternative class. Students must arrange the make-up class in advance with Yoga with Gait.
Reduced Rate Trade-Off: Block bookings are offered at a reduced price per class; therefore, a full refund is not provided for missed classes. However….
Credit Rollover: Students may carry forward ONE unused class credit per term toward their next single or block booking in the following term. This is an allowance offered in recognition of the consistency provided by block-booking students.
Drop-In Bookings: Drop-in class bookings are subject to the standard weekly class cancellation policy (Section 3.A).
4. Communication and Privacy
Email Consent (Operational): By booking a class, you consent to receive Essential/Operational Updates regarding your booking, such as cancellations, venue changes, and important class notices. This is mandatory for participation.
Email Consent (Marketing): Marketing and event updates (including future workshops, special offers, and digital product news) are optional and separate specific consent will be sought by Yoga with Gait for this.
Data Protection: Your personal data is managed in accordance with the Yoga with Gait’s Privacy Policy.
5. Use of Intellectual Property
The content, sequencing, and teaching materials used in classes and workshops are the intellectual property of Gait Collins / Yoga with Gait. They are provided for your personal learning and cannot be recorded, replicated, or taught by you.
