Essential/Operational Updates List

Purpose of Processing: To communicate critical, non-marketing information directly related to your bookings, such as class cancellations, venue changes (e.g., room moves at Long Ashton Community Centre), or scheduling issues.

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest / Contractual Obligation. (This data is necessary for me to fulfill the service you paid for.)

Marketing & Event Updates List

Purpose of Processing: To send you promotional content, early access links to new offers (e.g., future workshops, digital courses) and special discounts (e.g., £5 trial class offer).

Legal Basis: Explicit Consent. (You must actively choose to opt-in to this list.)

4. How I Manage Your Consent

  • Opt-In: I require your active consent either via written email or a checkbox or button selection when filling out a form, before adding you to my Marketing & Event Updates list.

  • Unsubscribe: You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from any list at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link provided at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect my ability to send you essential operational updates related to a class you have actively booked.

  • Data Migration: I use a professional Email Service Provider (ESP), MailerLite, to manage and protect your data. When communicating, I use my dedicated business email address (gait@yogawithgait.com) for security and deliverability.

5. Data Security

I take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

To manage my services, I rely on third-party platforms, which act as Data Processors. When you book a class or join my mailing list, your data is shared with the relevant processor whose own security measures are in place. Reservie (Booking, Scheduling & Class Management)

Purpose: Reservie holds the essential data required to manage your booking contract with me. This includes recording which classes you have paid for, tracking credits, and providing the platform interface for booking. It is the repository for the Essential/Operational Updates list data.

Data Collected (Examples): Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Booking History.

Security Summary: As a booking software provider, Reservie handles the security of your contact details and booking history on their servers, ensuring data transfer is secure.

Stripe (Payment Processing)

Purpose: Stripe securely handles the financial transaction process. When you purchase a class or workshop, Stripe collects and encrypts your payment card information.

Data Collected (Examples): Name, Payment Card Details (encrypted), Transaction History.

Security Summary: Stripe is a global payment processor and meets high security standards (e.g., PCI DSS compliance). Crucially: I (Yoga with Gait) do not store or have direct access to your full credit card number; this data is managed entirely by Stripe.
